KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY

At Therapy Collective of California, we are committed to embracing the latest advancements in psychotherapy. As part of our holistic approach, we are excited to introduce Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), a pioneering treatment that enhances our comprehensive range of therapeutic services. We offer KAP in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. We take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while Journey Clinical’s medical team provides support on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes.

  • What can I expect in the first session?
To ensure that our partnership starts on the right foot, we offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation before booking your first session. This preliminary meeting helps to establish whether there is a good fit between you and your potential therapist. Once you decide to proceed, we will send you the necessary paperwork electronically. Completing this paperwork in advance allows us to devote the entirety of your first session to your therapeutic needs, making the most of our time together. Your initial session is a foundational step toward personalized care. Your therapist will take this opportunity to understand your unique needs and background. Together, you'll set goals and determine the most effective therapeutic approach tailored specifically for you. This session includes a comprehensive assessment of various aspects of your life to identify how they contribute to your current concerns. We are committed to providing a secure and attentive environment where you can freely discuss your experiences and aspirations. We will introduce practical coping tools and strategies to manage immediate challenges, while also beginning to address deeper, more ingrained issues that may require longer-term exploration.
