About Sofia

Sofia’s interest in mental health began early, shaped by the stigma she witnessed in her community and the deep longing she saw in others—to be seen, understood, and cared for. These formative experiences inspired her to create the kind of space she once needed herself: warm, attuned, and deeply human.

She works with individuals navigating relational wounds, self-worth, identity exploration, and life transitions. Her approach is rooted in attachment theory and a belief that we heal in safe, trusting relationships where all parts of us can be welcomed.

As an immigrant and bilingual therapist, Sofia is especially attuned to the complexities of identity, family, and culture. She offers sessions in both English and Spanish and is committed to creating a therapeutic space that feels inclusive, culturally responsive, and emotionally grounded. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.

"I take a relational and attachment-based approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that healing happens in the context of safe, genuine connection. I see therapy as a space where we slow down and gently explore your inner world including the parts of you the world sees, and also the ones that have been quietly holding so much beneath the surface.

In our work together, I integrate approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, and solution-focused techniques, always tailoring the process to your unique experience. While I may draw from different therapeutic models, the relationship we build remains central. I believe lasting change begins not just by addressing what is happening, but by understanding why and creating room for new insights, new patterns, and new possibilities.

I also understand that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. I’ll always move at a pace that feels safe for you, bringing warmth, curiosity, and care into each session. Therapy with me isn’t about 'fixing,' it’s about reconnecting with your own clarity, strength, and sense of self."
