Klara Knypinski

Good fit for people-pleasers and perfectionists who want to reconnect with their authentic identity

Before becoming a therapist, I spent seven years in education and linguistics, studying, at a fundamental level, how the stories we tell ourselves shape who we believe we are. That background informs everything about how I work with imposter syndrome. Rather than simply helping clients reframe their thinking, I work experientially and somatically, so the shift is something you actually feel, not just understand.

I also grew up navigating the expectations of multiple cultural worlds, and that lived experience gives me a particular sensitivity to clients whose self-doubt is wrapped up in family conditioning, perfectionism, or the quiet pressure of feeling like you have to earn your place. If you've spent a long time performing a version of yourself that doesn't quite fit, this is the work I do.

  • Credentials: Licensed Clinical Social Worker #128928

  • Focus areas: Authenticity, self-expression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, OCD, anxiety, attachment and relationships

Claire Summers

Good fit for those whose imposter syndrome shows up most in relationships and self-worth

One thing I've noticed working with clients over the years is that imposter syndrome rarely stays in one area of life—it seeps into relationships, into the body, into the quiet moments when there's nothing left to achieve, and the doubt still shows up.

My work sits at that intersection. I'm trained in somatic and mindfulness approaches alongside CBT, IFS, and attachment theory, which means we're not just talking about the pattern—we're working to shift it at a felt, embodied level.

I also have a background in addiction recovery and Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and I find that clients who've turned to overworking, numbing, or self-sabotage as ways of managing their self-doubt often feel especially understood here.

  • Credentials: Licensed Clinical Social Worker #120898

  • Focus areas: Self-esteem and self-confidence, anxiety, depression, attachment issues, codependency, chronic pain, life transitions

Samantha Potthoff

Good fit for high performers struggling with deep-rooted self-doubt and emotional disconnection

I came to therapy by way of neuroscience and medicine, and that path shapes how I understand imposter syndrome. When you've spent years achieving by every external measure and still can't quite believe it, that gap usually isn't a thinking problem—it's something older and deeper, rooted in early experiences and patterns that no amount of logic has been able to touch.

That's where psychodynamic work comes in, and why I'm also one of a small number of therapists in the area offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for clients who haven't found the traction they were hoping for in traditional therapy. My goal is to get underneath the self-doubt rather than work around it so that the confidence you build actually lasts.

  • Credentials: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #119290

  • Focus areas: High performers, anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, attachment, emotional disconnection, personality disorders

What sets our practice apart from other Los Angeles imposter syndrome therapy providers

At Therapy Collective of California, we bring together clinical depth, innovative modalities, and a genuine commitment to individualized care. Here’s why our clients choose to work with us.

  • Multimodal expertise: Our clinicians are trained across a broad range of evidence-based approaches, including IFS, psychodynamic therapy, ERP, DBT, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). This allows us to tailor treatment to your unique needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method.

  • Whole-person approach: We recognize that imposter syndrome rarely exists in isolation. Our therapists are skilled at treating the anxiety, perfectionism, attachment wounds, and emotional patterns that often underlie it.

  • High-achieving clientele: We understand the specific pressures that come with success. Our team regularly works with executives, lawyers, physicians, entrepreneurs, and other high performers who need a therapist who truly gets their world.

  • Innovative treatment options: As one of the few practices in the area offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), we can provide treatment options for clients who haven't found relief through traditional therapy alone.

  • In-person availability in Beverly Hills: We offer a discreet, professional, and welcoming in-person environment in Beverly Hills, along with virtual options available statewide.
